NFL Conference Championship ATS Picks + Predictions for Both Games

This Sunday should be one for the history books, as both NFL conference championship games will be played back to back with trips to the Super Bowl on the line. This past weekend, we watched some incredible drama unfold, as the Kansas City Chiefs will go back to another AFC championship game to face Lamar Jackson and his #1 ranked Ravens in Baltimore.

On the other side, we’ll see the new-look Detroit Lions take on the #1 ranked 49ers in San Francisco for the NFC championship. These spreads are very interesting, and our experts are more than happy to make our official NFL picks against the spread for these conference championship games. Keep reading for our picks.

NFL Picks Against the Spread for Both Conference Championship Matchups

We are most certainly in for a treat on Sunday, and our experts want to get ahead of Vegas to make our NFL ATS picks before the lines move throughout the week. All four of these teams belong in their conference championship games, and the drama should be impeccable. Below, we make our NFL ATS picks for this weekend.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens Spread Pick: Baltimore Ravens -3.5 (-105 at Caesars)

To kick off our NFL picks against the spread, let’s dive into the AFC Championship first. On Sunday, we get to see two of the NFL’s biggest stars go head to head, with Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs coming off a victory in Buffalo to punch their ticket to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the red-hot Ravens. Mahomes and Kelce did what they did best against the Bills, as they were able to take full advantage of a banged-up Buffalo defense. Mahomes was 17/23 passing, with two touchdowns that both went to Travis Kelce, who was able to rack up 75 yards receiving on top of his TD’s.

The Chiefs defense was able to barely hang on for the victory, but they certainly didn’t look as sharp as they did at times this season. Kansas City’s defense allowed 72 yards rushing to QB Josh Allen, and they’ll see an even more mobile quarterback in Lamar Jackson on Sunday. Speaking of Lamar, let’s look at his performance in the divisional round. Jackson passed for two touchdowns and ran for two, totaling 100 rushing yards and 152 yards through the air. Lamar is likely the league MVP, and the Chiefs defense will need to sharpen up big time if they plan on slowing him down on his home turf, where the Ravens just put up 34 points last weekend.

Also, it should be noted that the Ravens defense looks as stout as ever, as they only gave up 10 points against a good Texans offense, and they’ll be scheming up plenty of ways to get after Patrick Mahomes.

We think this game will look much different for KC, as the Ravens defense forces a lot of punts and potential turnovers. This will allow Lamar Jackson to take over the game along with Gus Edwards and Zay Flowers, to win this game handily, knocking out Mahomes, Kelce, of course, the Swifties. Our official NFL ATS pick for the AFC Championship is the big, bad, Baltimore Ravens -3.5 (-105 at Caesars Sportsbook).

Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers Spread Pick: Detroit Lions +7 (-115 at Caesars)

The first of our NFL picks against the spread went to the Ravens, but now we will look at a very interesting NFC Championship matchup between the underdog Detroit Lions and powerhouse San Francisco 49ers. Last week, Detroit was able to knock off Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers in a hard-fought game, where the Lions offense was able to cruise, and their defense came up big to seal the deal with an interception. The Lions are the best story of any team left, and our experts do not think they’ll go out quietly here in the NFC Championship.

The Lions offense has been a balanced attack all season, and Jared Goff is coming off a 287-yard passing performance that included two touchdowns against a pass-rushing Tampa defense. The Lions will see a top defense this week against the 49ers, but the 49ers did look breakable last week, as Jordan Love was moving the ball at ease for the majority of the game. Our experts think the Lions will be able to put up plenty of points in this one, and it’ll all come down to their defense. This brings us to the 49ers offense, which seems borderline unfair at times with the amount of talent they possess. It goes without saying that Cristian McCaffrey is the best back in the league, and he has plenty of weapons around him with George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel. However, Deebo’s shoulder injury from last week leaves him questionable in this game, and if he doesn’t play, this makes us even more confident in our prediction.

Our experts saw some nerves early from Brock Purdy in the rain last week, and we think he has another tough task on his hands with Detroit. We think that the Lions offense can put up points with anyone, and this game will come down to defense. The 49ers may find a way to come out on top in the end, but we believe the Lions have a good chance to win this game outright. To finish off our NFL ATS picks, we are confidently taking the points with Detroit, and going with the Lions +7 (-115 at Caesars Sportsbook).

Below, you can take a look at the official odds for our NFL picks against the spread. All odds are provided via Caesars Sportsbook.

  • Money Line: Chiefs (+158) vs. Ravens (-190)
  • Spread: Chiefs +3.5 (-115) vs. Ravens -3.5 (-105)
  • Total Points: Over 44 (-110) / Under 44 (-110)
  • Money Line: Lions (+260) vs. 49ers (-335)
  • Spread: Lions +7 (-115) vs. 49ers -7 (-105)
  • Total Points: Over 51 (-110) / Under 51 (-110)
